Trevor’s Bio
Trevor Romain is a best-selling author and illustrator of an award-winning series of self-help books for children, as well as a sought-after motivational speaker. As an inspirational humorist, Trevor and his animated friends host a popular television series that has been featured on a number of PBS stations. The series uses adventures based on his books to teach real-life lessons for kids, such as dealing with bullies, facing fears, coping with divorce and understanding grief. The series has won numerous awards. Trevor’s books have sold more than a million copies worldwide and have been published in 16 different languages.
For more than 20 years, Trevor has traveled to schools, hospitals, summer camps, and military bases worldwide, delivering stand-up comedy with inspirational self-help messages to hundreds of thousands of school-age children. Trevor was a featured speaker at the recent annual USO Gala and the International Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma. He has also been the keynote speaker at numerous education and mental health conferences around the world and has appeared regularly on national and international media outlets.
Trevor is the President of the American Childhood Cancer Organization and is well known for his work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The United Nations, UNICEF, USO, The Trevor Romain Company, and the Trevor Romain Foundation. He has performed on multiple USO tours, helping military kids deal with the problems they face on a daily basis, including deployment of a parent, wounded parents and coping with the loss of a loved one. Trevor has worked with the United Nations developing educational materials for children living in armed conflict areas. He has visited and worked with former child soldiers and at refugee camps and orphanages in the Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.
